Welcome to the fourth module of the Geophilia Master!

An important training for understanding the relation of the climate and architectural design 

In this module you will learn what thermal comfort is, as well as the basic parameters that affect it. The main axis of bioclimatic design is climate analysis, in order to understand the different needs called by different conditions, as shown in vernacular architecture.

You will learn about solar geometry, as well as how heat gains and

losses are generated in a building. 

We will go deeper in exploring thermal capacity, insulation, opening areas and  incorporating passive heating and cooling design strategies.  

Ecological material selection, natural lighting and site planning are the some of the cornerstones of sustainable architecture.

Finally we will look into various parameters to design a healthy building.
